TEDxSanMigueldeAllende: Virtual Event
The producers of TEDxSanMigueldeAllende have cancelled the public event originally scheduled for March 21, and created a virtual event, featuring the scheduled TEDx speakers. There will be a flat price of $300 pesos for this virtual event. With your ticket purchase (and, needless to say, you do not need to download or print your ticket), you will be able watch the entire event, during a two-week period from March 28 through April 10. The streaming page is private and can be accessed by only one device per customer.
TEDxSanMigueldeAllende 2020 features fourteen compelling speakers from Mexico and the United States, with English subtitles. (NOTA: En este momento, no hay subtítulos en español.) The short talks ranging from 10 to 18 minutes will address topics including ecology, social justice, gender issues, regenerative agriculture, water rights, and tech innovations.
Among this year’s speakers:
• Raymond Bechard, a noted human rights advocate who wrote legislation forcing Facebook to remove thousands of illicit ads promoting human trafficking and child prostitution. • Stephen Rodan, NASA engineer and inventor of CHARM (Coral Husbandry Automatic Raceway Machine), a project to cultivate climate-change-resilient coral in large quantities. • Karla María Gutiérrez, an award-winning Mexican journalist and Harper Collins author, widely recognized for her independent investigations into human rights violations and femicide.

Be sure to select the “green” purchase option #2 to avoid a needless surcharge. After your purchase, you’ll get an emailed receipt and e-ticket, but there’s no need to download the ticket. Very shortly after that, you will receive an email from Boleto City with a link to the private page that has the videos.
